Comment # 35 on bug 1047852 from Dave Plater

The only thing that will fix this is either an older version of xine-lib that
still builds the arts backend or possibly a much older version of jack that
still works properly with kde3. I have a little bit of spare time so I'm going
to see if I can extract the last version of xine-lib that can still be used for
kde3 audio. I've never used kde3 with a jack backend but I used the xine
backend for the entire time that I had kde3. This is like trying to find the
right spark plugs for a vintage car or the right valve for an old radio
