screenshot from boot screen with failsafe settings

I downloaded an openSUSE Leap 15.3 KDE-Live image from
https://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.3/live/openSUSE-Leap-15.3-KDE-Live-x86_64-Media.iso
and saved it to a USB stick with

sudo dd if="openSUSE-Leap-15.3-KDE-Live-x86_64-Media.iso" of=/dev/sdd bs=4M
status=progress && sudo sync

A Virtualbox guest using this USB stick boots fine, but on a Lenovo Legion
laptop with an NVIDIA RTX 1070 graphics card, the boot fails.

The default boot freezes at some point and displays only the normal graphical
boot screen, and booting with failsafe settings displays the appended messages.

The failsafe setting already include 'nomodeset', which has been mentioned in
similar bug reports.
