If a kernel update is available, the "KDE Software Updater Applet" notifies a "reboot needed / reboot now?" BEFORE the delta-rpm is downloaded and installed. It worked already as intended in a previous release before 15.0 (download kernel delta-rpm -> install -> notification "reboot needed / reboot now?"). Currently, the notification may confuse new users or desktop users, who don't use YaST or zypper to install updates.
