In my understanding iproute2 is not necessary.
The eth0 device in my case was setup correctly with an early starting wicked.

Does the use of wicked in 13.2 and later make the forced dependency redundant?
Then the call to network.sh (and /usr/lib/YaST2/startup/common/network.sh
itself) can be removed from yast?
