I'm unable to reproduce the bug on SLE12 here when trying to see if it's fit for release: # time ./a.out real 0m12.521s user 0m12.002s sys 0m0.504s # I've done multiple retries. # cat /etc/os-release NAME="SLES" VERSION="12-SP3" VERSION_ID="12.3" PRETTY_NAME="SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3" ... The patch itself seems fairly straightforward mutex adding, but I'm unsure at the moment if to accepting it if there's no reproducable bug it's fixing on SLE12. The CVE that was fixed in openSUSE in the same go has already been fixed in SLE12.
