I have observed this bug in openSUSE 13.2, and it is highly problematic. It happens pretty much every time I switch from wireless to wired. What happens, specifically for me, is that despite the configuration (Done through the new NM applet in KDE) containing the DNS server address, it is not set when I disconnect from wireless and select the wired configuration. A resolv.conf file is generated, and it contains the search domain I have specified, but not the DNS server address. I run IT for my local school, where I have deployed openSUSE on several machines we lend out to students, and I have observed this phenomenon on their machines as well.
