Most of these changes have to happen at the level of the corresponding upstream
project. Might be useful to document links, etc., that suggest how to actually
go about doing away with, e.g., libgnomecanvas if your app depends on it, so
that we can send such suggestions upstream rather than just opening bug-reports
saying "libfoo is deprecated". I duckduckgo-ed but didn't find anything that
could be very useful.
