When installing openSUSE Tumbleweed today, I did choose to use a noexec, nodev /var partition (LVM setup). Yast tries to install some google-font rpms, and tries to run the scripts from there. Yast stops afterwards, as the exit code isn't zero. This is annoying as it stops automatic installation, and this isn't necessary as the system reboots fine if I press ignore. So fix the problem I suggest running the update fonts on first boot, not via Yast, OR do not run them from /var (which is equivalent of hiding the scripts from plain view (/bin /usr/bin) OR Make Yast ignore the errors, or present them without continuing in the background.
