This has been reported upstream too:

Apparently, Wikipedia redirects are not handled correctly when the widget
doesn't use SSL. An option to do that has been added only after 2.8 was
released, it is enabled by default and "fixes" the issue.

I created a package with that patch, and it works for me (as long as I don't
disable the newly added "Use SSL" option).

I'll submit them shortly, I just want to check first whether 13.1 is also
affected.

The package on Packman is exactly the same as the one in KDE:Extra.
And this is probably no bug in Amarok itself but caused by something else, so
the 13.1 package obviously doesn't work either on 13.2.
