VMWare Workstation 12.5.6 and 12.5.7 vmware modules do not compile on the
current 42.3 kernel (4.4.85-22-default) although there were no problems on
42.2. In other cases it compiles but VMs are not started successfully. Some
workarounds were discussed in VMTN at 
https://communities.vmware.com/thread/565146 but they do not help in all cases
(e.g. not in my case). Possible reasons discussed are backported code parts
from kernel 4.10 and changes in the interface of get_user_pages(). 

I am not a kernel guy, someone with deeper knowledge should have a look at it
and tell me if this is either a SUSE or a VMWare issue ...
