(In reply to Michael from Offenbach Germany from comment #4) > But as I wrote, the missing 2 files are simple, nearly no-brainers. To create a package as you envision (in particular if you want "Create New" entries for all OpenDocument filetypes), you'd need more than 2 files though. ;-) Anyway, openSUSE is a community distribution. Everybody who wants to can package things on OBS, and even submit it to the distribution. Not having this is no bug though, and in particular no bug in "KDE Workspace (Plasma)", to be handled by the KDE team. TBH, I personally have no intentions to create such a package, and that's why I closed it as WONTFIX again. But ok, we can just as well let it linger around for some more years... > So are you sure that your hint for calligra-extras-dolphin, I've just > checked that installing this pkg means installing the complete calligra > suite because of the pkg deps, roughly est. hundreds of MB disk space, is a > constructive solution of this issue? It is a possible solution to the "problem" you reported (no "Create New" entries for LibreOffice documents). I do see a possible issue btw, if openSUSE would install a package with those templates you mentioned by default: somebody who install calligra will have those entries twice then. And I haven't even checked if those files can even be packaged in openSUSE with regards to their license and copyright. I have to say though that just creating such a package would likely be less work than discussing it at length here.
