It seems that xamarin are presently occupied with the dotnet code drop by
Microsoft a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully we can see that this is resolved
upstream and make sure the updates are propagated into OpenSuSE before closing
this. I will make updates here as they become available.

A side note, some users are reporting that they do not see the issue in Ubuntu
with similar kernel and Mono versions.
