Same results with the default-2.6.31.7-0.7.1 kernel. The boot options were noresume splash=silent showopts vga=0x345 which they have been for some time. Changing them to either: 1) noresume splash=silent showopts quiet vga=0x345 (adding quiet) or 2) noresume splash=silent showopts (removing vga=) stops the re-boot.
