Just had a look into suse-prime package on our buildservice. Looks interesting! 1. For better integration I would like to add the snippet to /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup according to the README.md file. 2. Also I believe it would be good to save the status by prime-select, whether one has currently run the script with Intel or NVIDIA parameter. Since then an update of the NVIDIA driver package could run prime-select at the end of the installation accordingly. Otherwise the configuration could be broken after an update of the package without manually running the prime-select script afterwards again.
