Olaf, wouldn't it be possible to boot the PV in some way that the kernel will
see those disks as 'sd*', don't remember what causes the device to be named
'hd*', but is probably the underlying layer used (somekind of old fashion
IDE?), maybe moving to SATA or SCSI would help.

Don't know nothing about Xen, so just asking.
