That's unrelated. MySQL/MariaDB for some reason needs mysql_upgrade to be
called manually and Akonadi doesn't handle that either. So run mysql_upgrade -S
$XDG_RUNTIME_DIR/akonadi/mysql.socket after mariadb version upgrades.
