Please understand that Bugzilla is not a support forum but a bug tracking tool.
There is probably a bug that broke your system but since the log is truncated
the information to figure out what happened is missing.
The /var/mail directory is not something any official package creates. IMO
remove that, disable all extra repos and get zypper dup to work.
You really have to help yourself from here. Maybe the mailinglists or forums
can provide more guidance.
