Performed a quick check , mysql-workbench 6.3.4-1.2 against a mariaDB 10.0.21
(on localhost)

Besides the regular warning that this config is not tested/supported (as it is
not MySQL), this worked just fine.

Looking at the stack trace, it seems to be an issue that the server version
might not be parsed properly...

* Against what kind of server did you see this crash?
* Can you possibly test against other versions, in an attempt to help identify
if this helps?
