Hi Gary and Raymund, 

Does it ring a bell to you ? IIRC we used to come across such invalid argument
when attempting to write uefi variables, but I couldn't recall where to find
the related bug report. In the end I think this is more about kernel
interacting with efi runtime variable service.

Would you please help to shed some light on this ? Thanks in advanced.
