A newbee opensuse user will be disgusted from opensuse because : 1/ Launch yast "Add new program", search "vlc", yast response : "unknown" ! Serious ??? 2/ He will ask google something like "opensuse vlc". With luck, he will learn what a repository is, how to add it etc etc. He will probably find 'packman'. He will have to search again why it exists two repos with sibling versions of VLC All this stuff just to have a known media player ? 3/ And the new user will play with Dolphin and constat strange integration of '?' Dolphin asks "I don't know that file.... Want to install this and this ?" Yes ! And it asks again...and again And funniest is Dolphin launches vlc after the question (tested with .3gp). EXPECTED : At least a dummy package or something in package manager saying that VLC is not an unknown application. A working integration of VLC with openSUSE Franck -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
