https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=229166 Summary: network interface brought down immediately before network connectivity test Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: seth.arnold@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com I used the network install disc to upgrade from SLED10 to OS10.2. After downloading package listings, selections, (packages too?), the installer wanted to test network connectivity and download release notes. This step failed because my network interface had been brought down shortly before the network interface test. I was able to pass the network test simply by running 'ifup eth0' in another virtual console. My network interface had been configured to _not_ automatically start, in my SLED 10 configuration, but after using the network interface to install all my packages, I would have liked to continue using it. :) Thanks -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
