I tried the same procedure as above. Replaced glibc from the repository
mentioned in comment #70 and did a reboot, which went OK.
However "zypper dup --no-recommends" ended the same as above; did not boot, not
a single character on the console.

When will a new image be available? I have no idea how to build my own.
