Comment # 5 on bug 944978 from Alberto Zacchetti

Hi, I have a news about this bug: booting the system into runlevel 1 without
nomodeset, it work fine, also giving startx command and starting the graphical
interface (LXDE). But entering runlevel 3 or higher (with init command line),
also without graphical interface, the system says repeatedly:

NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 23s! [swapper]

then hangs a few seconds later.
I have switched the bug component to basesystem, because is not only a
installation problem.
Do you have any idea?
