1024x768x96DPI Xorg.0.log from using no xorg.conf & no modifications to
xorg.conf.d/50-[device,monitor,screen].conf in conjunction with video=1024x768
on cmdline with EDID preferred display 1280x1024

Fixed 13.2, as this was filed against? This is what's on the 13.2 mirrors in
update:
xf86-video-intel-2.99.916-9.1.i586.rpm 18-Dec-2014

With that driver it remains necessary to uncomment the Driver "intel" and
Option "AccelMethod" "UXA" lines from the comment 0 xorg.conf to have the rest
of that configuration obeyed. Nouveau and Radeon both obey what follows in the
file without necessity of driver and/or AccelMethod lines.

In additional contrast to Nouveau and and Radeon, Xorg is disregarding EDID
preferred when video=1024x768 is present on cmdline (to make tty[1-6] text
right-sized using the default framebuffer font), using that mode instead of
EDID preferred 1280x1024 as do Nouveau and Radeon.
