We have released version 11.1.0 of open-vm-tools, see https://github.com/vmware/open-vm-tools/releases/tag/stable-11.1.0 This should be part of SLES 12 and 15 too. This release includes the new sdmp plugin. I will file another bug to put this into a different package.
