After update to Tumbleweed snapshot 20180530 (I probably missed snapshot 20180528 which actually updated the kernel from 4.16.11-1-default to 4.16.12.1-default), the boot hangs on "loading initial ramdisk" Potential root cause: kernel 4.16.12-default System: - Acer laptop - 2 x Intel Celeron N3050 @ 1.6GHz It is a standard tumbleweed installation, just packman repositories are added. Booting works with previous kernel 4.16.11.1-default (out of Grub Boot Menu: Advanced options for openSUSE Tumbleweed -> openSUSE Tumbleweed, with Linux 4.16.11-1-default). According to bug #1054425, - I removed "quiet" and "splash=silent" boot options, - I also added plymouth.enable=0 option. All together, and as single changes. However, nothing did help. Happy to help. Best regards Sebastian
