Just checked if port 6001 will be connected, had used tcpdump dst port 6001 on the remote side and on the local xterm -display noether.suse.de:1 ... indeed I can see connection but get the already shown errors. As the remote X server is not used with -auth I do not understand the first error message No protocol specified as there is no protocol.
