While working on reproducible builds for openSUSE, I found that our dav1d package fails to compile without debuginfo. Steps to reproduce: osc co openSUSE:Factory/dav1d && cd $_ osc build --noservice --disable-debuginfo standard Actual Results: /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/10/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: src/libdav1d.so.5.0.1.p/mc_avx512.obj: relocation R_X86_64_PC32 against undefined symbol `_dav1d_mc_subpel_filters' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/10/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: final link failed: bad value collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
