I just noticed that you mentioned kernel 4.17 and Leap 15 is giving me 4.12 so I guess I haven't yet got to a new enough kernel to answer your question properly. I'm guessing tumbleweed might have that version or newer but I was having stability issues with tumbleweed and changed over to Leap at some point.
