Comment # 5 on bug 1164616 from Hans Kuster

Hi,
since recently I have a similar problem but without a hub.
I had an Arduino board connected to the USB port and could see messages sent
from the Arduino with puTTY. But since the last update, about 5 days ago that
doesn't work anymore. puTTY displays only mangled characters.
With a live CD of Knoppix puTTY displayed the correct messages. So it is not a
hardware problem.
dmesg shows connecting and disconnecting of the Arduino board.
I use china clones of the Arduino board with a ch341-uart converter chip.
A geniune Arduino board did work as normally!
BTW: I use tumbleweed with KDE Plasma
