so the problem was the transition from "mozilla" project based mozilla-nspr to the opeNSUSE main one. Compatible vendors can be listed in /etc/zypp/zypp.conf indirectly via /etc/zypp/vendors.d config files. there is a comment in zypp.conf how to do that, have not tried it myself.
