The error in the empathy window just says "disconnected, no reason given". I cannot reproduce this in a reliable way and it seems to be completely random. I'm having to use Pidgin, since that never disconnects, so it's not gtalk. This is what backups are for. You can restore a file that has changed, for what ever reason, to its original copy. I have been in contact with the mirror admin at anl.gov, and I will send him a copy of your last post, and this one. And I will let him know that you think that it is his responsibility to fix your problem. He has been very helpful and must be tired of me asking him to check his sync. I am sure that the other mirror admins don't want to be told that they need to increase their work load, to fix a problem caused by openSUSE, by ensuring that all RPM's in their mirror match repodata. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now, and no one has said why these copies are being created and why they replacing the original RPM in the Update repo. No RPM should change in a repo until there is a version number change. After network is established, boot process continues. So delay is about 30 seconds. Network is controlled by NetworkManager, DE is GNOME 3. With sysvinit this doesn't happen. The monitor goes blank but the Monitor signal is till on. (Signal state is Green. This signal should turn amber. The suspend/S1 sleep is executed using on of the options. - Either by a GUI menu - Or by command "echo -n standby > /sys/power/state" - We tried both with Onboard Graphics controller and also with an External Video Card (ATI Radeon). The issue remains same. But when the system power button is pressed, the system wakes up from S1 sleep. So looks like the S1 functionality is working, but the due to monitor not turning off, the user is not clear whether S1 sleep process completed ot not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. From GUI mode Click on suspend. 2. From CLI mode, type "echo -n standby > /sys/power/state" 3. Actual Results: The monitor goes blank. But the signal is green. So by seeing the monitor signal, user is not clear whether s1 has actually occcurred or not. Expected Results: THe monotor should be turned off.
