So, please add reminders, in red, for each product. Let's say I set the product to Yast, then reminder should show up in red: * do not forget to attach yast logs Or even better, when filling report and submitting it, don't go to posted report, but instead show page with info: * yast2 logs are required, please add them now and control panel for attaching normal attachment. This way developers would not be angry that some reporter forgot to attach those logs. I don't know if reporter can post a report with the attachment, if yes, this could be improved even further (i.e in case of report w/o attachment "there is no attachment, are you 110% sure you want to make devs angry and fill report without logs?"). I notice the following line of code strcpy(header->version, CHARSET_V); but ./BUILD/john-1.7.3.1/src/params.h:#define CHARSET_V1 "CHR1" ./BUILD/john-1.7.3.1/src/params.h:#define CHARSET_V2 "CHR2" ./BUILD/john-1.7.3.1/src/params.h:#define CHARSET_V CHARSET_V2 and ./BUILD/john-1.7.3.1/src/charset.h: char version[4]; so there is a buffer overrun here. Four characters and a zero byte won't fit into a four character field. It is also possible to set a warning timeout (the system will beep before it shuts down). The standard warning timeout is 10s. Currently the only way to abort a shutdown is to do a few clicks on the system tray. This is an unnecessary complication. Any user input should abort the procedure, as it is the most intuitive thing. This is a feature that I have asked for for a long time. But it has a glitch. In my setup (see later), it produces a very long text, so long that the beginning went off the top of the xterm window. So next time, I used "xterm -sl 3000": not enough. (thousands of lines more) .. ***********++- Why so long an output? Because I'm running zypper dup of the factory partition in a chroot, inside a 11.0 system. Your code is seeing the "host" files, not only the guest (the guest has no running processes, except bash). (I always do the update this way, because it is safer, and I can work while it runs for hours and (long) hours) I use a different code than you to detect those in use deleted files, which doesn't fail in the exact same way, but fails, too. It is a variation of a script published by Bob Vickers on the security list on Tue, 10 Jan 2006 10:14:59 +0000 (GMT). This message was also displayed after installation completed and system rebooted when update attempted. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.During install from DVD, after Release Notes downloaded, repos are opened with message displayed for oss & non-oss 2.After system rebooted following installation, during update the messages were displayed again 3.
