(11.2 repo from today, probably near RC2)
I tried to install YaBSC from the openSUSE:Tools repo using one click install.
After entering the root password, YaST showed an error dialog:
An error ccoured while initializing the software repository.
Details:
Try again?
[Ja] [Nein] (= Yes / No)
Yes, the line after "Details:" was really empty. Therefore this bug has two
parts:
- the missing information about details in the error dialog
- maybe the failure itsself is also a bug
The last lines from y2log when the error dialog was open:

The full y2logs are attached. Search for [cb] in y2log - I have marked when
the error dialog popped up.
BTW: After answering the dialog with yes (= try again) and confirming the repo
details, the installation worked.

Gecko/20090909 SUSE/3.5.3-3.2 Firefox/3.5.3
As described on Beta and Pre-release forum,
http://forums.opensuse.org/pre-release-beta/424021-eclipse-doesnt-accept-mo…
I just downloaded the newest Eclipse, just to be sure, but I had the same
problem with some older version.
Start Eclipse, and for example try to create a new project. Enter the project's
name and click Next. The button recognizes that it's being clicked (e.g. gets
focus, changes color etc) but nothing happens. Pressing enter works (as the
button has focus now). The same thing happens on the next screen with the
Finish button.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Eclipse
2. Click File>New>Java Project
3. Enter project's name, click Next - nothing happens
4. Press Enter button - wizard advances to next step, as expected
It seems that this problems is easiliy reproducible, and is related to
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=288909
However, it is quite serios, almost a showstopper for a number of users.
If you need additional details, don't hesitate to ask, I'm more than willing to
assist here.

package cups-1.4.2-38.1 in repository
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Printing/openSUSE_11.2
apparently contains a payload which installs to (32 bit) /usr/lib. This breaks
printing on a system originally installed with x86_64 architecture.
initially I installed via "ymp" but also manually downloaded the
cups-1.4.2-38.1-x86_64 package and used rpm --force to reinstall. Same outcome
error message from cups, whether for existing or newly installed printers is:
"Filter "/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip" for printer "bjc4310SP" not
available: No such file or directory"
similarly for printers using other filters
making links from /usr/bin & /usr/lib/cups/filters to /usr/lib64/cups/filers
gets rid of the error messages.
I did not uninstall cups 1.3 prior to installing cups 1.4. Investigated it,
but it would have required dozens of other packages uninstalled, to comply with
dependencies, then reinstalled.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.install cups-libs, cups-client, cups all version 1.4.2-38.1.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
components in /usr/lib/cups are updated to files having date 28 jan 10
components in /usr/lib64/cups are not
printers do actually work, after links are made manually, to the filters which
cups expects. This is an improvement because I could not get any printers
relying on foomatic-rip to work from openSUSE 11.2 with cups 1.3.
Expected Results:
components in /usr/lib64/cups are updated to files having date 28 jan 10
components in /usr/lib64/cups might not be updated
or if it was intended that links between the lib & lib64 directories be used
then those links be in the package.

GNU tar is originally shipped with scripts called 'backup' and 'restore', found
in the scripts subdir in the tarball.
They are mentioned in tar's info pages sction 5.3 "Levels of Backups" and seem
to be quite useful for system backup.

gpscat fails to run
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. install gpsd-devel
2. run 'gpscat' from command line (Konsole in my case)
Actual Results:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/gpscat", line 5, in <module>
import os, sys, termios, select, getopt, curses.ascii
ImportError: No module named curses.ascii
Expected Results:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/gpscat", line 57, in <module>
tty = os.open(arguments[0], os.O_RDWR)
IndexError: list index out of range
workaround: zypper install python-curses
The missing parameter error could be better, but that's an upstream issue.
It's probably also worth noting that gpscat is put in the regular user path,
but lacks permission access the device as it's configured by udev.
I also added these two lines to my 51-gpsd.rules file:
# DeLorme Earthmate GPS LT-40
KERNEL=="ttyUSB*", SYSFS{idVendor}=="1163", SYSFS{idProduct}=="0200",
RUN="/lib/udev/gpsd.sh"
