Application has no auth to write or merge with this file. I would think that this issue only occurs when user elects to have default login user to have NO root authority - The Default action of Install is to make default login == root, If user elects default login user to have NO root authority many application cannot recognise this as request escalation at time of execution. See screen shot Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Nvidia Settings Application 2.Change nothing or change any action 3.Elect to either merge or write to X11 config File 4.Unable to write or merge with this file as user login has no root authprity. Actual Results: Unable to change anything in X11 config file from NvIDIA Application Settings Expected Results: If default user == non root and Nvidia Application called from menu - the application needs to request root authority if not present. Again it is clear the testing of 11.1 is only done of default Installation settings. It says aborted but it still downloads packages. If they are big (debuginfo packages) then it can take a lot of time to wait till it properly exits. YaST aborts only when the package is completely downloaded. The results are the same with both 64bit java 1.6 plugin and 32 bit java 1.5 plugin via nspluginwrapper. The Java Web Start application also cannot be started from KDE. Apparently the translators have included the English name of some of the functions in a parenthesis as a "service". However, all the functions translated including this parenthesis don't work! I've checked OOo 3.1.1 on Ubuntu 9.10 beta, and there no functions are translated using this parenthesis and they all work. I wonder if fixed Danish translations may be available in OOo VCS. This is a major problem. I'll try to get in touch with Danish OOo translators and see if they can shed some light on the matter.
