As already stated in comment #1, this bug isn't reproducable anymore. Since
nobody complained, I'll close this bug as fixed now.

Summary: RealPlayer returns no sound, Amarok does it (3rd party
repository (Packman) software problem?)

I wanted to play a RealMedia file, but it didn't work. I tried several files
from different locations, but it was nothing to hear. If i open a mp3, then i
get the following error message: "Audiogerät kann nicht gestartet werden. Es
wird u. U. von einer anderen Anwendung genutzt.", for those, who don't speak
German: "Audio device can't start. It is used by an other application under
circumstances.". But thats definitely not the case. Starting RealPlayer from
the command line gives no clue about the root of the problem, if i start a
RealMedia file. Furthermore it is not a problem of my sound card in general I
can play mp3-files and -streams with my amaroK player, without any issues. I
guess the problem is, that i did several updates from 3rd party repositories
before, e.g. Packman. I remember myself, that RealPlayer worked before. I am
not expert enough to say, which package it is.

Seems to be an external package. I can only find netbeans 5.0 for
STABLE/Factory. Please open a seperate bugreport against netbeans. Thanks.

Summary: On shutting down, graphics memory gets overwritten,
machine halts
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Alpha 3
Platform: i686
OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: X.Org
AssignedTo: sndirsch(a)novell.com
ReportedBy: casualprogrammer(a)yahoo.com
QAContact: sndirsch(a)novell.com
On an FSC Amilo Si1520 running openSuSE 10.3 alpha3 the following happens:
On shutting down ( From the GUI = Computer/Logout/Shut down or from a terminal
= init 0 ) the upper part of the display gets overwritten with garble and the
machine halts indefinitely. No keyboard access, no screen blanking, the only
way out is power off.
The display shows boot time information from terminal 8 ( CTL+ALT+F8 ).
Not sure how to gather more information on this, frequency is every other shut
down ( approximately 3 out of 5 ), no apparent harm is done.
This may fit in with bug 237676 and bug 252509

Just install netbeans 6.0 (you have to choose 1.6.0 jdk in installer)

Summary: Configuring wireless network for use with ifup does not
work
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Alpha 2
Platform: i686
OS/Version: SuSE Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: YaST2
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening(a)forge.provo.novell.com
ReportedBy: casualprogrammer(a)yahoo.com
QAContact: jsrain(a)novell.com
On a FSC Amilo 1520Si running openSuSE 10.3 alpha 2 plus, configuring a
wireless connection with "YaST2/Network Card" does not provide the desired
result.
In the "Network Setting Dialog" Tab "Global" when choosing "Traditional Method
with ifup"for "Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection" no connection is
possible with wpa2 / wpa or wep.
On setting the network interface up with ifup eth1 wpa_supplicant is not
started.
When setting up a configuration file ( /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf ) and starting
wpa_supplicant manually all three methods work fine.
