I am getting the display initialised, that is to say I get a row of dots in the lower-most cell. This happens with Windows as well before the display is initialised properly. I am having to boot from the floppy boot disk, as for some reason, my system won't recognise the SuES CD as a boot disk, despite the first boot device being configured in my BIOS as CD-ROM. My drive is a Creative DVD-1241E. I presume it should work just the same booting from a floppy?

Mine is the ABT340, connected via LPT1. I could try it via a serial port, see if that works.

I made a speech-package for suse look at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/prjoects/blinux/mbrola please download the rpm and from leb.net/pub/blinux/mbrola the en1 speech-database the german version works very well, but the english phoneme creater is not very stable

any hardware-synth is supported standard is apollo2 and infovox you can modify the config-files for any hardware-synth you only need the controlcodes for it
