add new packages to repository
create new package database
test the rep. for correctness

:-) That's how I'm doing it now, steps 1-3 done by a dumb script.
Do you have any plans of integrating the possibility of using multiple sources, like it can be done e.g. with KDE 3.1 and Yast2 in "interactive" mode by simply adding the directory yast-source from the appropriate KDE3.1-Directory as an additional package source?

This is a planned feature. We are aware of it :-) It is a general feature though and is not part of autoyast, so expect yast2 to work this way soon...
