Hi, I has been trying to install a ppc64 Squadron partition using autoyast. I am stuck at the following errors at the" install boot manager" stage with the following error message: Error Occurred while installing yaboot: ERROR:boot=/dev/null is not a valid block device Can someone shed some light on what could cause the error ? Anas, When I using the control file with primary partition type fpr prep, the error message changed to "image=/boot/vmlinux ist not a regular file". When I check the /boot directory, there is no vmlinux file there. When I using the control file with primary partition type fpr prep, the error message changed to "image=/boot/vmlinux ist not a regular file". When I check the /boot directory, there is no vmlinux file there.

Hi, On these systems you need the root partition to be primary. Add primary to your partitions and it should work.
