Hi List,
since we build our custom-CD's (SLES8) with SP3, there will be no kernel installed by autoyast. As a result, all modules are missing, and /boot is almost empty, no boot-image or initrd in there. So the network interfaces don't work and the reboot fails because of the missing vmlinuz.
We use a machine with two processors and therefore we need an smp-kernel installed which worked fine BEFORE we put the SP3-Packages into the repository. The needed kernel was detected and installed automatically.
Any ideas?

Martin Möser
Hi, If you dont tell how you build the custom CDs, there is no way we can know what the problem is. It seems however that that kernel packages are not found and not installed. Can you check the log files for errors, i.e. the y2logRPM might be interesting...
