How to avoid booting confirmation?
Hello! I use the appended control file autoinst.xml on a floppy during installation from the original SLES8 CDs. At the end of the "Finishing Basic Installation" screen, i am asked
The LILO boot sector has been written to disk. You can restore the old boot sector in the installed system with "lilo -u /dev/sda"
Now booting your system... [OK-Button]
, and the installer waits for interactive confirmation.
How can i change the control file such that this confirmation is not
needed? Or can't it be suppressed by any of the <mode> entries?

On Fri, 2004-02-06 i asked how to get rid of the confirmation keypress after installation of the lilo boot sector. Lee Mayes answered in private mail:
here's what I use:
<mode> <confirm config:type="boolean">false</confirm> <forceboot config:type="boolean">false</forceboot> <reboot config:type="boolean">true</reboot> </mode>
I think it's the last one being true (vs. your false) that does it.
I thought this answer should be on the list, although i have not yet tested this by myself. Additionally, Lee asked:
I'm just starting to play with SLES8, have you figured how to automatically accept the EULA at the beginning? I thought I'd read how to do that, can't find it now...
I remember having read that the corresponding control file setting started to work with SP3. When creating a custom install cd, the step is skipped by simply removing the license text file from the cd image. -Robert

Yes, remove info.txt from media.1 on the first CD. But this is fixed with the driverupdate in SP3. Anas
