automatically selecting smp kernel on custom created autoinstall- cd

Hi, i have a problem building a custom autoinstall cd based on SuSE 8.1. How can i convince autoinst to select the smp kernel when installing a smp machine ? The custom cd should be able to hande up and smp machines alike. Is this possible ?
