Its seems that my choice of freedom is going to vanish. At least i am not able to login as root via the GUI on OpenSuse 12.1 . ( Workaround is to set DISPLAYMANAGER_AUTOLOGIN="root" ;-) )
Getting serious. I ADDED the entry DISPLAYMANAGER_ROOT_LOGIN_LOCAL="yes" and set DISPLAYMANAGER_SHUTDOWN="all" in /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager and restarted the node. But no luck. Does somebody knows what i am missing ?
Note: DEFAULT_VM is lxde
