[opensuse-artwork] Re: Poster

2nd draft on my poster for the flip side of the open source calendar. This draft includes elements of the 12.1 theme, as well as evoking the choice and flexibility of openSUSE. I've always wanted to make reference to the Chameleon as a concept not just a logo, finally got that chance here. I'm still working out whether or not to do the QR thing... http://paste.opensuse.org/view/raw/45811217 Thoughts? P.S. Are you really geek, or artist in disguise :) The idea is excellent and inspiring. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

It's a cool and nice idea. Just a question how the small text appear on a typical A2 poster format once printed ? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

on A2 it should be easy to read (I can read it on my 19" screen (but a bit difficultly), so it could be read even on A4 if we have a webphone barcode, what will the meaning of this code if scanned (I have no idea of what it is really :-() jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://pizzanetti.fr -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+help@opensuse.org

I like it a lot; just one reservation about the colour of the QR code, as that color is not used anywhere else in the poster and it does make it seem a little bit dis-intergrated. Maybe you'd be happier with it in white perhaps, or openSUSE Green? Only a very small point though. I think there does need to be 'something' in that corner, otherwise there's too much empty space going on. Actually it might look better with the geeko on the left, looking into the space on the right, and the QR on the right side. Just an idea though, I'd cheerfully put it on my wall as is. Fantastic concept, the rendering of the mobile is awesome. cheers, -- IRC: helen_au helen.south@opensuse.org helensouth.com

I absolutely love it as well. BTW the release is probably going to be delayed, unfortunate but we won't make 11-11-11 :( Otherwise, however, this is abso-frickin-lutely cool :D Note that we need to send in the artwork according to the spec's this weekend!!!
cheers,
