[opensuse-artwork] Artwork for the openSUSE miniSummit at SCALE 13x
Hello Artwork Team, We will be having an openSUSE miniSummit at SCALE 13x (February 19-22, 2015). This means we are going to need some artwork to promote and brand the event. At this point what I have in mind is at least a logo and at least one banner. I would like to have a banner we can use at the openSUSE booth but I would really like a larger banner we could hang somewhere at SCALE so people know the miniSummit is happening too. I will be reaching out this week to good people at SCALE to find out the latter idea will be at all possible. Would anyone on this list be interested in helping out with these artwork needs? Thanks, -- Drew Adams Member & Advocate, openSUSE Project -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org
Hi there, just a quick thought, as we would also like to promote the openSUSE Conference on various occasions (like FOSDEM), perhaps a more convenient approach would be to develop reusable artwork for this goal? But perhaps some of this has already been developed? I agree as well, however I don't think that would help too much in this case since this is the first miniSummit. I do like the idea of having each event having a consistent identity via the logo -- I think this might be a very practical approach as well as allow us as a community to build strong 'brand recognition' around these events. -- Drew Adams Member & Advocate, openSUSE Project -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

I completely agree with this. One landmark event (the own Conference) which has an additional branding build on top of or inspired by the global branding, this would preserve the identity for our own events and enhance the visibility in general. I can't agree more, but can I put my salt's ... We just need to agree on the planning. Are we talking about an idea for the 2016/2018 season or already for 2015 which should have already start ? -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member & Board, fsfe fellowship GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

the miniSummit is happening in February. Do we think that would be too ambitious for this event to be the first to use this more standardized? Even if it is not 100% final version, I could see how it might be helpful to a pilot event. Thoughts? -- Drew Adams Member & Advocate, openSUSE Project -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org
I cant speak for the artwork team ofcourse, but, before februari would be ideal! We would then also be able to use the material at the FOSDEM conference in Brussels. Best regards! it was not in my boot box (the table cover was :-) but of course, I think adding it to a boot box is pretty obvious :-) (like some vertical stand and banner) jdd
