Re: [opensuse-artwork] OpenSUSE 11.3 Window Decoration Idea

Thanks, I took a look at the Bespin icons and the close button actually is almost the same except it's a circle with a dot in the middle instead of a square with a dot in the middle. I could try doing circles but I don't think that fits as well with the openSUSE style, what does everyone else think? On 12/24/2009 08:33 AM, Chris Cunningham wrote:
i really like the icons for close minimize maximize in the bespin theme but considering this is the default theme for suse it should be dead simple for new people to regonize so the x would fit best.
But there is some more room for maximize and minimize, such as using symbols like plus and minus(OS X Like) or you could go for a more iconic idea that visually shows what the button does. (Such as a box with a arrow showing it's new size for maximize)
and to make the X look a bit different or more tied into suse you could use the same typeface on it as is used in the suse 11.3 branding.
i dont know what the font it called but here it is on some 11.2 art

Thanks. :)
I'll try and come up with something else for the close button. If anyone has suggestions, let me know but I'll see if i can come up with some different options.
