[opensuse-artwork] Branding mockups
Hi all, We've spent some time (quite a bit, actually) working on branding mockups for tumbleweed and leap. Hi all,
We've spent some time (quite a bit, actually) working on branding mockups for tumbleweed and leap.
Have a gander ;-)
They both look rather swish, time well spent!
My only comment with the Leap images is the light bulb. I love the idea and would love to see a physical bulb with the geeko emitting a lovely green hue, however I feel the image should be rotated. Also as Leap is born out of Project 42, could we not have a towel instead?
Tumbleweed http://paste.opensuse.org/30299128
I really like the somewhat industrial feel to it, however I feel the wallpaper lacks some form of association to openSUSE. I'm not saying we need something like the Leap[ lightbulb, but we need the geeko there somehow. Actually, maybe having a towel for Tumbleweed would be a nice link to Leap? Thanks, Andy
NOTE: these are just mockups so the ui elements on top are just placeholders and in now way suggest font size, actual widgets/windows/etc.

I liked! I blogged about it, and seems that many users like too... I prefer the "theme" and colours of Tumbleweed version, in my opinion that gives more "professional sensation" than Leap version... I don't like that green for Leap (just my opinion) I was trying to get a plymouth theme, but I couldn't make it works fine :( Go ahead, and if you need some help, just ask here! ;) 've phun!! - -- - ------------------- GPG Key: 0xC9B7E22A Aprende a proteger la privacidad de tu correo: https://emailselfdefense.fsf.org/es/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJV4DsZAAoJEMx0Lo3Jt+Iq+Y4P/1Ur6ox0caIg98LJlFLBaHvG U7Qnj7JpEd/FoF6CP0OKc0WaJ3UrJ15SE6jINyY2PZuB6x6uq7Gx9NcJSm+0Q+nt zNXUxtM8L4d3sg2htb8BE7E92g2up+4WIC3AI/UtuSrOtaKLzZYh8iy+R7apYn2c LQP2U6qSQgjNewdgun2rHT8Y/8pIbBhpCRPyzWGFuMJrpHP8AGlNwv9Ap/xpyws9 03S25AnrevbtTKYAUXt98Y+F4ptF+6WZ4m0ZX3O7AcEMWPD6+HnZegGXn18EVBM+ cmBiSCAELtdP+Cg7t9ubs6zRlciYP2LvZRCeBt9tMYFokxEx6VxygxiUytv/+P0v p7w/h8/Pt4BCVCnLXI/vzMAPutR+gQ9g2lzHxhoDF+9k5NQq8sVI1kQZIrFZbB5L idMpYaVKy+m/HBw+V5wZt9WxHSPdnr0XU/S3bP8OwC4SE185V2vy2jF01c7M5p1K AqZiT1/Mjvo/W9RwaTgYlmfNa0l/zl6Jml/7A2+7poXAE6fGgllfLJTsGm8MJlob cC2TReVsYb3x32pLJyOWzeCToz/H8ZIc67oTDXbGmz3zrleQmDVgyNkV6cBTFN1s CJmehzBPjvzGEsppp0uBmq3lJNSBjdd+qm1G3/b5keb2XNSbvpoNBjM7Oqh6BMoa d4wJyq+DUnUAIecGC6Lm =h72t -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org

Oh no, victorhck, if you know how much effort I've made to avoid expressing the fact that I really prefer the Leap one cause TW is too blueish. And now you woke up the daemon inside me :-)))
I was trying to get a plymouth theme, but I couldn't make it works fine :( I invite you to share the start of your work. Sometimes plymouth scripting is picky and perhaps we can do something with your start.
Go ahead, and if you need some help, just ask here! ;)

I've pushed all the raw png files to github so that people can take a crack at this stuff. https://github.com/kwwii/raw-theme-drop It is simply all the files on the top of my head at different aspect ratios. -- Kenneth Wimer SUSE Linux GmbH, GF: Felix Imendörffer, Jane Smithard, Graham Norton, HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, D-90409 Nürnberg, Germany Phone: +49 911 740 53-669 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org
