openSUSE the most stable distro out there, let's spend some extra on making it the most easy-on-the-eyes for 11.3
I did never mention that it should be easy on the eyes, only that it should have some feeling rather than 'welcome at the office'.
Hi Bart, you may want to re-read what you've written.
I respect Microsoft for finding those perfect pictures that makes the desktop alive without screwing the rest it should display.
I still hope some day we will have the feeling of SuSE 9.3 back: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/122/316533500_8afadbed81_o.png
I think we should use a photo as wallpaper for 11.3 (at least for KDE4). Without I don't think we can get the fuzzy SUSE-feeling back.
We're in a disagreement here. I'm not ruling out photos as a default wallpaper, but it needs to be low contrast, abstract motive like the 9.3 background you mention. Here's a few photos by our very own Garrett LeSage that would work quite well as a desktop wallpaper --

Throw some proposals in, please. I'll be happy to have a discussion about the 11.3 wallpaper.
cheers
