So, the main problem is that the 280.1 image is broken and doesn't
boot. It hangs at 'Starting kernel ...' after loading u-boot. The last
image I tried headless was 266.3, and for that one I didn't need to do
anything special. The YaST Firstboot stuff was disabled, so it went
directly to a login prompt - and ssh was running.
I tried the latest, Build304.7
from April 17, but still the same problem. I
don't have a working Ethernet connection. Is someone having the 266.3 and
able to send it to me? Or is there something to circumvent this problem?
is definitely faulty. When after xzcat I mount lxroot and do
"ls -l etc/" I get like the following:
-????????? ? ? ? ? ? aliases
d????????? ? ? ? ? ? aliases.d
d????????? ? ? ? ? ? alternatives
-????????? ? ? ? ? ? bash.bashrc
d????????? ? ? ? ? ? bash_completion.d
I also tried Build293.7 from:
which also does not give me ssh access, because Ethernet does not come up. At
least this one does not have the faulty etc/ folder.
Is anyone interested in
working on openQA support for serial port and those boards? I think that's the only
sensible way forward to ensure we don't keep breaking random machines.
Well, I know nothing about openQA, but I am interested in working
images. If you point me in the right direction I'll take a look at it.
landing page is a bit sparse.
