iproute2 contains the ip command, which was always present in my cubieboard jeos. The ifconfig command was absent - I thought it was because ifconfig has been deprecated for years. It's in net-tools, with other commands like netstat, hostname, route - useful to have. IMHO it would be better to save space by sorting out dependencies properly, e.g. I fail to see why installing yast-x11 also installs an X server together with the hundreds of MB of other shebang.
